UmCanto is the system for a non-profit: a support group for people with disabilities, a nursing home, a charity hospital, a day care, a shelter, a neighbourhood association.
The people who look after a town usually look after the money in a spreadsheet, with a volunteer treasurer, the night before the deadline. UmCanto puts it all in one place: who the entity serves, who gives, the money that came in and went out, and the report that proves it.
A donor asks: does it really get there? Whoever sends public money asks: where did it go? UmCanto answers both with the same entry, on a page anyone can open without logging in.
Who it is for #
- The entity's board and treasurer, who log the expenses and close the month.
- Donors, who give by PIX straight into the entity's own account.
- Citizens and councils, who want to see what the entity received and what it did with it.
What it does #
- Accounts for termos from the city hall: work plan, goals, instalments, expenses with their receipts, and answers to glosas. An expense dated outside the termo does not get in.
- An open page for the entity, in three tabs: About, People served and Finances. What came in, every expense with who was paid, how much and when, and the partnerships with government. For the people served, only the closed month's count, rounded. Never a name.
- PIX donations to the entity's own key, with a numbered receipt and a wall for whoever wants to be on it. Campaigns with their own address and texts ready to paste, and the collection box on a shop counter.
- Company gifts: the Give through your company page explains in two minutes who deducts (only lucro real) and what to take to the accountant.
- A register of the people the entity serves, with guardians and a follow-up diary. Sensitive data is encrypted, and only the right people see it.
- Certificates with a due date: the system warns before they expire, so the money does not stop, and links straight to the site that issues the CND, the CRF and the CNDT.
- Calls and funds: a robot reads the government portals and shows which ones the entity can apply to and which paper is still missing.
Log it once, use it twice: the same entry feeds the public page and the report for whoever sent the money.
What it is not #
UmCanto is not an accountant or a lawyer, and donated money never passes through us: it goes from the donor's bank straight to the entity's bank. The entity answers for its own accounts.
The data belongs to the entity #
Everything the entity enters stays the entity's. We store and organise it on their behalf, and we don't use anyone's record for anything else.
The details are in the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy.
